Sherry (European or American Oak)

Rum & Wine Casks

    • First Fill: Delivers the boldest flavour and colour. Highly desirable for aging and resale.

    • Second Fill: Milder impact—lets the whiskey’s character shine.

    • Third Fill and Beyond: Gentle maturation, suitable for long-term strategies.

    First-fill casks are typically the most sought-after due to their intensity and resale demand.

    • Barrel (200L): Matures faster, yields fewer bottles—ideal for shorter holds.

    • Hogshead (250L): The industry favourite. Balanced ageing and strong bottle return.

    • Butt (500L): Ideal for sherry aging. Slower maturation but massive volume.

    Size impacts both yield and value. Bigger casks often hold more long-term potential, but smaller ones mature quicker—giving you options based on your goals.

  • All our casks are stored in HMRC-regulated bonded warehouses, including our core partner, Lowland Bond, one of Scotland’s most trusted facilities.
